I will be always grateful for opportunities to give my children new experiences by attending press events and working with some toy and book companies. The financial side was never there because I did not work blogging as a business. My original vision of this blog was to focus on my love of crafting and interior design but in 2015 it evolved into more a parenting and review blog. There are thousands of UK parent bloggers that create amazing content everyday and love focusing on the topic of parenting but more heart was not completely in it. I lacked to the passion for parenting topics. <br /><br />The beginning of 2018, I was focused on finding new ways of making income for my family but mostly to find ways to surround myself with motivated business woman. I believed that the right business opportunity was coming my way.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WsON576c2xA/W-lP6hk-RVI/AAAAAAAAXUk/0tUdPQxlsZQJMfGimR6DsQ0dVVNxE-EsQCLcBGAs/s1600/Monat%2BFreedom%2BCollective%2BUK.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="711" data-original-width="960" height="474" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WsON576c2xA/W-lP6hk-RVI/AAAAAAAAXUk/0tUdPQxlsZQJMfGimR6DsQ0dVVNxE-EsQCLcBGAs/s640/Monat%2BFreedom%2BCollective%2BUK.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>In March 2018, I was looking through Facebook when I came across a couple posts about a new social marketing company that was launching in the UK on May 1st, 2018. The company was Modern Nature (Monat) and direct selling of vegan, all-natural haircare products. I very quickly saw the value in the products but also saw that the Monat community was filled with women and men that would help me with my business journey growth. I will provide more details about Monat in the future but it is company that has been unbelievable successful in USA and Canada. The UK is the first step to introducing Monat to the European market and I am very product that I can say that I am UK Founder member.<br /><br />The last 7 months, I have been growing my professional and personal skills while selling these amazing products. I cried many times at the UK Launch event when I truly felt the power of being part of company that truly believes in helping people dream bigger financially but also showing gratitude but giving back to the community around them.<br /><br />I will share more about Monat in the future on this blog but also being looking at sharing more home and life posts. I am always grateful to my readers and please feel free to comment below or connect with me on social media or in real life.LadyBug Home &amp; Designhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15952263677178108950noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8631234901941090703.post-16720744793778318472018-05-01T08:00:00.000+01:002018-05-03T21:12:03.825+01:00Share the Joy Linkup - May 2018<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Welcome to Share the Joy Monthly Linkup for May. Earlier in April, we were invited to visit <a href="/2018/04/paradise-wildlife-park-world-of-dinosaurs.html" target="_blank">Paradise Wildlife Park</a> to explore the new World of Dinosaurs. It was typical cloudy British day but we all enjoyed exploring the park and see the huge dinosaurs.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I have been busy this last month learning new business skills and growing my team within the <a href="https://christinagibson.mymonat.com/" target="_blank">Monat</a> family. &nbsp;I joined this luxury vegan all-natural haircare networking marketing company at the end of March and it has already created a brighter future for family and myself. The last 5 weeks, I have been surrounded by inspiring women that are spending hours of their time teaching me and other members of the "family" of how to be successful in this company and your other businesses. I am very excited that May 1st was the official UK Launch and the <a href="https://monatglobal.com/uk/all-our-products/" target="_blank">products</a> are now available for selling throughout UK. The next step is helping as a UK Founder to help grow my team and help with the for future growth in Europe. &nbsp;I am very lucky that I already had a group of friends and family that believe that I can be successful in this business but now my business network continues to grow. I love the opportunity to create side-income for my family's future but also the chance to help other woman to create financial freedom and to dream bigger.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-USwuHQJLZDo/Wcg3-pkUEnI/AAAAAAAAWp0/DC9wJwRb_n80jzOxPVKQZf7f2cSaPl68wCLcBGAs/s1600/Share-the-Joy-header-image-NEW-768x358.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="358" data-original-width="768" height="297" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-USwuHQJLZDo/Wcg3-pkUEnI/AAAAAAAAWp0/DC9wJwRb_n80jzOxPVKQZf7f2cSaPl68wCLcBGAs/s640/Share-the-Joy-header-image-NEW-768x358.png" width="640" /></a><br />How have you found "Joy" this last month?</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><br /></b><b>TIME TO LINK UP</b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Share the Joy is the happiness-focused linky. &nbsp;Bloggers, writers, artists, poets, if creating something made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile – you’re welcome here.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">1) Link up a creation that has brought you JOY – all genres are welcome, new or old favourites and as many links as you like!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">2) Please comment on one of our hosts’ posts and a few others. My children love <a href="/2018/04/terrific-timelines-dinosaurs-review.html" target="_blank">dinosaurs</a> and were very excited to see the UK's biggest dinosaur attraction. There is over 30 life-size animatronic dinosaurs that are life-size and roaring or making thrilling sounds.<br /><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-x26VfTdfQ4A/WuW58pHabkI/AAAAAAAAXIQ/XuWLiEXnBf0LP_znZR78JhnonlATvYsdACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0426.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-x26VfTdfQ4A/WuW58pHabkI/AAAAAAAAXIQ/XuWLiEXnBf0LP_znZR78JhnonlATvYsdACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0426.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />Before entering the <a href="https://www.pwpark.com/whats-on/events/world-of-dinosaurs" target="_blank">World of Dinosaurs</a> main area, we first jumped aboard the Rex Express train that takes you near the dinosaurs. It was £2 per person and we really enjoyed the experience. It allows you to see some of the dinosaurs up-close and to see how my youngest would respond to seeing the animatronic dinosaurs in action. You don't necessary see any additional dinosaurs than you will see walking through the World of Dinosaurs attraction but my children enjoyed it.<br /><a name='more'></a><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hw9LuzhG49Q/WuW7oaVtTRI/AAAAAAAAXI0/kFkEgK37AC8DlhhfOhDw7K82_1Ix08KzgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="901" data-original-width="1600" height="360" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hw9LuzhG49Q/WuW7oaVtTRI/AAAAAAAAXI0/kFkEgK37AC8DlhhfOhDw7K82_1Ix08KzgCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0058.JPG" width="640" /></a>We&nbsp;jumped off the train and headed through the very large gates entering the World of Dinosaurs. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member that spoke to children about if they were excited to see the dinosaurs and what was around the corner. The pathway was lined with large dinosaur teeth and helped to lead us towards the main attractions.</div><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-am8yh35xr8M/WuW5z5BZ_pI/AAAAAAAAXII/8KlDEpV2iAEYuudG55s4qrcczHi8gpSkACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0382.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-am8yh35xr8M/WuW5z5BZ_pI/AAAAAAAAXII/8KlDEpV2iAEYuudG55s4qrcczHi8gpSkACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0382.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />All the dinosaurs are behind fencing which allows the children to run around without getting eating by a dinosaur but also helped to make them not too scary for the youngest. All the dinosaurs moved and routinely made noises. There are plagues next to each dinosaur that allowed for learning new dinosaur names and information about the dinosaurs. Big Sister bought with her Triceratops and was very excited to meet the mom and baby Triceratops.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cQCCrFZXQ9c/WuW50BBXXPI/AAAAAAAAXIM/gvWZudHbxFMQS7W6l3yePYvPX9JZ84pigCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0388.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cQCCrFZXQ9c/WuW50BBXXPI/AAAAAAAAXIM/gvWZudHbxFMQS7W6l3yePYvPX9JZ84pigCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0388.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aTu5m1hlMag/WuW5yL1Xj-I/AAAAAAAAXIE/nKJ8ddl6Qc0oaOmVQWt8ChYj2d2NAAmvgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0404.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aTu5m1hlMag/WuW5yL1Xj-I/AAAAAAAAXIE/nKJ8ddl6Qc0oaOmVQWt8ChYj2d2NAAmvgCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0404.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />Big Sister and Little Brother jumped in a jeep and escaped from a fierce Tyrannosaurus Rex. Both my children love dinosaurs and often are wearing t-shirts with dinosaurs from the Jurassic era. My daughter's favourite dinosaur is the Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex) with its big teeth and little arms.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4GzMDESFxec/WtsIy5KeMGI/AAAAAAAAXGI/a9LVnJU_5CgcunRoFupxcW9eK7GP6phrgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4GzMDESFxec/WtsIy5KeMGI/AAAAAAAAXGI/a9LVnJU_5CgcunRoFupxcW9eK7GP6phrgCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0058.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>Even though they love dinosaurs, I must admit that we don't really don't know the facts about dinosaurs and even that there was several eras of dinosaurs. This fascinating&nbsp;book features 20 dinosaurs from the from all three prehistoric eras: Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous. Each dinosaur has it own fact file.<br /><a name='more'></a><br /><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qNhaaKl93i4/WtsI0mCjHAI/AAAAAAAAXGM/dCIjGFOQeJcr5FXYL0tIN-tjnRES_DHeACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0069.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qNhaaKl93i4/WtsI0mCjHAI/AAAAAAAAXGM/dCIjGFOQeJcr5FXYL0tIN-tjnRES_DHeACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0069.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />The books start out with information on all three eras. The book explains what earth was like during the different prehistoric eras and how the dinosaurs kept evolving to adapt to environment changes and evolution of predator<span style="background-color: white;">s. We <span style="background-color: yellow;">learned</span>&nbsp;t</span>hat the first dinosaurs were small and two-legged with bird-hipped pelvis but then evolution created lizard-hipped dinosaurs. The saurischians (lizard-hipped dinosaurs) that kept getting bigger to evolve into the giant four-legged herbivores, such as stegosaurus. I really enjoyed reading about the different eras to my daughter and trying to imagine what earth and the dinosaurs where like millions of years ago.<br /><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bRfmj9EUoT8/WtsIxO6NzgI/AAAAAAAAXGE/W5o5R4IsPkQf8R0MY-f_kqN2tZc2L6u6gCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0074.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bRfmj9EUoT8/WtsIxO6NzgI/AAAAAAAAXGE/W5o5R4IsPkQf8R0MY-f_kqN2tZc2L6u6gCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0074.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />There is a factfile page dedicated to each of the 20 dinosaurs that are featured. Each dedicated page includes information on where and when fossils were found of the dinosaur. Based on the fossils, scientists have made conclusions about how the dinosaur survived predators, about the physical characteristics and diet. As more fossils are found, it will be interesting to learn more about these dinosaurs and if the previous conclusions are correct.<br /><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dFamhSjpiEo/WtsJP6xbpaI/AAAAAAAAXGY/XH17uon3W_kQIOdmoJWuTejsvEk7vvy2QCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0113.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dFamhSjpiEo/WtsJP6xbpaI/AAAAAAAAXGY/XH17uon3W_kQIOdmoJWuTejsvEk7vvy2QCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0113.JPG" width="640" /></a><br /><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-acza88yjOVE/WtsJU_7ZyaI/AAAAAAAAXGg/iyIAgPL9nkobpVi7HFG68VeG_c8KHh7LgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0123.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-acza88yjOVE/WtsJU_7ZyaI/AAAAAAAAXGg/iyIAgPL9nkobpVi7HFG68VeG_c8KHh7LgCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0123.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />Once we finished reading all the interesting information about these dinosaurs, it is time to create the dino display. We very carefully press-out the dinosaurs and followed the instructions in the back of the book. It did require some very careful touch not to rip the dinosaurs. My six-year did find it a little challenging to get the dinosaurs to stand properly in the stand but just need a little bit of help from me. <a href="http://www.laurenceking.com/en/terrific-timelines-dinosaurs-press-out-put-together-and-display/" target="_blank">Laurence King Publishing</a> recommend the ages of 7-11 for this book and this probably an appropriate range for the dino display process.<br /><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-awM9dlriQJg/WtsJ3icCj4I/AAAAAAAAXG4/7T_BxIYu9xQPzOApTUNMhVZgfWMFGLi0wCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0126.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-awM9dlriQJg/WtsJ3icCj4I/AAAAAAAAXG4/7T_BxIYu9xQPzOApTUNMhVZgfWMFGLi0wCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0126.JPG" width="640" /></a><br /><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lisOR6O3gds/WtsJ2Aw9X6I/AAAAAAAAXG0/RmPM6xNFtbYqFH8JhbHgwkQhUZvyTeBSACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0139.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lisOR6O3gds/WtsJ2Aw9X6I/AAAAAAAAXG0/RmPM6xNFtbYqFH8JhbHgwkQhUZvyTeBSACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0139.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />My daughter and I really enjoyed this book because it was filled with interesting new information but also the process to work together to create the dino display. I would recommend this book for your dinosaur-loving children. It is book that every child and parent will learn something new from and encourage their curiosity about dinosaurs.<br /><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YJY86NMOQ4g/WtsJ5Ikk_LI/AAAAAAAAXG8/07sp1wVT9RcNVRx0tmsyjv74iGf5RoJxACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0166.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YJY86NMOQ4g/WtsJ5Ikk_LI/AAAAAAAAXG8/07sp1wVT9RcNVRx0tmsyjv74iGf5RoJxACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0166.JPG" width="640" /></a><br /><div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="section"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"></div></div></div></div>LadyBug Home &amp; Designhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15952263677178108950noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8631234901941090703.post-40090456242817163202018-04-01T08:00:00.000+01:002018-05-03T21:23:03.559+01:00Share the Joy Linkup - April 2018<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Welcome to Share the Joy Monthly Linkup for April. Card Game - Illustrated by Jason Ford ReviewRecently, we were sent the newly released <a href="http://www.laurenceking.com/en/superhero-snap-card-game/" target="_blank">Superhero Snap! I am always looking for new games or activities for Big Sister and allow us to spend quality family time together.<br /><div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bLHdyJucpVA/WpLT4AxbckI/AAAAAAAAW-4/5pHRndki6RQLXD9sshTRta72KkbN3XaNgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0026.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bLHdyJucpVA/WpLT4AxbckI/AAAAAAAAW-4/5pHRndki6RQLXD9sshTRta72KkbN3XaNgCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0026.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><em style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, sans-serif; letter-spacing: 0.3199999928474426px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">This post contains affiliate links. This set of snap cards of 52-card feature thirteen different illustrations of superheroes and villains. Each card has a word that is an imitation of a sound. Our favourite cards included the words: DING! WHOOM! HAHAHA!. There are superhero girls and boys. The villains include monsters, mad scientist, robot, aliens, and other fun villains to discover.<br /><a name='more'></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KhGAGRrAZBs/WpLT3mkSl8I/AAAAAAAAW-w/oSE2HM_K92QdAbg4p_7LfPMYcsV_FQ2UACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0034.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KhGAGRrAZBs/WpLT3mkSl8I/AAAAAAAAW-w/oSE2HM_K92QdAbg4p_7LfPMYcsV_FQ2UACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0034.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>There is four cards of each illustration and we enjoyed playing the game of snap with them. The cards are a good size for little children hands and we had fun saying the words on the cards when we turned them over. Of course, Big Sister won most of the games but Little Brother enjoyed repeating the new sound words while we played. The cards a made for durable cardstock and the illustrations brightly printed.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DPZjccZlO_k/WpLUuRqODNI/AAAAAAAAW_M/pO0LELMJPyY-Wlik2rubvsaLqudTsu_1wCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0039.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DPZjccZlO_k/WpLUuRqODNI/AAAAAAAAW_M/pO0LELMJPyY-Wlik2rubvsaLqudTsu_1wCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0039.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">We played many games of snap before Big Sister started to use the cards for a matching memory game. We made a set of pairs of cards and she laid them face down on the table. This allows the fun to continue when the 2nd player needs a break from playing snap. The cards are stored in the original sturdy box and ready for hours of entertaining fun in the future.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pRisuOrFNhI/WpLT5A4AZ4I/AAAAAAAAW-8/xiYozb1livc0_Y2ehz9kjSX0cJ9nVadxwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0054.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pRisuOrFNhI/WpLT5A4AZ4I/AAAAAAAAW-8/xiYozb1livc0_Y2ehz9kjSX0cJ9nVadxwCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0054.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div>Jason Ford is British illustrator and author of <b><a href="http://amzn.to/2CkBFk7" target="_blank">The Super Book for Superheroes</a></b> and the <b><a href="http://amzn.to/2FwgHgT" target="_blank">The Superhero Comic Kit</a></b>. My family goals still need a new defining but I decided on January 1st that I wanted to be more focused and productive this year. I often find my thoughts bouncing from one goal or project to other without making proactive progress on any goal or not recognising the progress.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><a name='more'></a><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">There is two ways that I have changed my mindset about my goals this month. The first way was to use my new 2018 diary to record every day moments of joy or thoughts of gratefulness but also to make notes of small tasks that I accomplished each day. Some days it could be big accomplishments like completely my taxes but other days just something as simple as a load of laundry. Most of big goals for this year will take hundreds of small tasks to completely and sometimes hard to see if any progress was being made. By making sure to write down small accomplishments, I found that I would wake up the morning filled with more positivity about the previous day and motivated to keep moving forward of goals or life projects. I would also make notes of ways I was grateful or moments of joy that happened during the day. One of my favourite moments of joy was when I walked home one night in the dark holding my youngest hand and listening as he talked way about all kinds of topics. &nbsp;I captured those moments that I want to remember in the future and on those days when life seemed to hard to keep moving forward.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pu0ezKOi6CQ/WnIrET9D3yI/AAAAAAAAW3Q/mzrQ19Va7Aw8HnE_2gNhBrSfV4IN7bpyQCLcBGAs/s1600/February%2BShare%2Bthe%2BJoy%2BLadybug%2BHome%2BFlowers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pu0ezKOi6CQ/WnIrET9D3yI/AAAAAAAAW3Q/mzrQ19Va7Aw8HnE_2gNhBrSfV4IN7bpyQCLcBGAs/s640/February%2BShare%2Bthe%2BJoy%2BLadybug%2BHome%2BFlowers.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The second way that I made to my goals mindset was to decided that I need to focus on ONE big goal or life project each month. We all have limitation on time but I find that spend lots of time bouncing from one life project to another and never feeling that I am accomplishing anything. I gave myself permission to focus on one project and move other projects to another month.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I decided that January would be focused on "Project Declutter". &nbsp;I truly believe that I spend too much time cleaning and searching for needed items in my home due to the disorganisation and clutter in my home. The first week of January, I started with unpacking boxes and sorting through my craft supplies. The next big project was the children's room. I spent 4 days sorting through toys and rearranging the room. I created an artwork display and reinstated books areas. The result is that my children are able to find their favourite toys easier and even know exactly where to put the toys away after playing. My youngest has been found several times alone in the bedroom looking through books this last month which never happened before January. I have found that I am feel more joy when playing with them in their room because I am not overwhelmed with toys or surrounded by mess.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">In the past I have felt quilt almost every day about tasks that I have not accomplished or how I may have fallen behind on goal but this month I have written down which month I will focus certain project. February focus is "New Income Streams" and March is going to be "Blogging and Social Media". By knowing that March will be the month that I will re-start or create momentum on my blogging journey it allows me to stop worrying or feeling the guilt I have felt in the past. I love Christmas. I have many happy memories in past Decembers involving celebrating birthdays, yummy food, cheerful Christmas decorations and family fun. We got our <a href="/2017/12/christmas-tree-pines-and-needles.html" target="_blank">Christmas tree</a> last week so it was time to pull out the Christmas boxes from under the stairs. I love re-discovering Christmas items that I have forgotten in the last year but I think the person that was most excited was my daughter. Very quickly my living room floor was covered in Christmas decorations, craft supplies, and Christmas cards. I had forgotten how many Christmas craft kits I purchased the last couple years. I have decided on a new goal that this year we are going have hours of <a href="/search?q=christmas+crafting" target="_blank">crafting fun</a> and use up the craft supplies so very little is put back in storage at the end of the Christmas season. We will enjoy buying a few next craft kits next year.<br /><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cS1vlLOY-cg/WiU8eW3zuJI/AAAAAAAAWz8/otUapPk-BqAu9tHiY9TtV_LF5XnhvH7TACLcBGAs/s1600/Share%2Bthe%2BJoy%2BChristmas%2BDecorations.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cS1vlLOY-cg/WiU8eW3zuJI/AAAAAAAAWz8/otUapPk-BqAu9tHiY9TtV_LF5XnhvH7TACLcBGAs/s640/Share%2Bthe%2BJoy%2BChristmas%2BDecorations.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>My truly special ornaments (or babbles) are still stored in the USA at my parents home. In the next couple years when my children are a little older and less likely to pull the glass ornaments off the tree, I will have the "Christmas box" sent to England. Our current tree decorations are made up of plastic metallic and glitter ornaments with a few bead garlands. My daughter has handmade felt ornaments for her tree and Little Brother has inherited handmade wooden planes that were made by my father and grandfather before I was born.<br /><a name='more'></a></div><div><br />Thank you for everyone that joined us last week for Share the Joy. We travelled this week on a cold and dark night to our local <a href="https://www.pinesandneedles.com/" target="_blank">Pines and Needles</a> Christmas tree store in St Albans, Hertfordshire. We were invited by the marketing team of Pines and Needles to visit store and pick out a tree.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UkT3FQpCYXU/WiUyt0VW-WI/AAAAAAAAWzc/6LBystTcRC87_3h23mZEM7VrArKruLwRACLcBGAs/s1600/Pines%2Band%2BNeedles%2BChristmas%2BOrnaments.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UkT3FQpCYXU/WiUyt0VW-WI/AAAAAAAAWzc/6LBystTcRC87_3h23mZEM7VrArKruLwRACLcBGAs/s640/Pines%2Band%2BNeedles%2BChristmas%2BOrnaments.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>My first real Christmas tree was given to me when I was only 2 days old. I have many happy childhood memories of travelling with my grandparents or parents to the local Christmas tree farm to pick out tree for my bedroom in Oregon, USA. We would always have beautiful main tree that my mother would cover with thousands of lights and delicate glass ornaments but my siblings and I would always have a Christmas tree also in our room with our personal collections of decorations.<br /><a name='more'></a><br />Since living in England for over 10 years now with my husband, I have not been able to continued the tradition of a real Christmas tree. We have always had a main artificial tree in the sitting room and my children have their own personal artificial trees since they were little. Big Sister has 3 feet tree that she decorates each year with <a href="/2016/12/the-home-life-project-december-2016.html" target="_blank">handmade felt ornaments</a> and Little Brother has <a href="/2017/01/january-metallic-decoration-tree-with-pinty-plus.html" target="_blank">1 foot tree</a>.<br /><br />I was very excited this year to share my love on real Christmas trees with my children when we were asked to visit the local Pines and Needles where apple pies and chocolates were immediately offered to the children. The St Albans is pop-up store has moved this year to across the Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre. The tree lot is lighted with bright lights and a wooden hut is filled with festive wreathes, decorations and lights.<br /><br />The two options of cut trees that are available to purchase from Pines and Needles included the Nordmann fir and the Norway spruce. Both grown in Pines and Needles' family farm in Scotland. The Norway spruce is many recommend for outdoor use because it sheds it needles quicker than the Nordmann fir.<br /><br />The <a href="https://www.pinesandneedles.com/real-christmas-trees/nondrop-christmas-trees" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Nordmann fir</a> made the ideal first Christmas tree for our family because it is known to not lose its needles for at least 4 weeks in your home, and it has soft, waxy needles on strong branches that make decorating with small hands enjoyable. I really love our Nordmann tree with its even shape and nice space between layers of branches for ornaments (or babbles) of all sizes.<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><iframe allow="encrypted-media" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" gesture="media" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eHqZ12_n6kc" width="560"></iframe></div><div style="text-align: left;">My family and I were only at the Pines and Needles for around 10 minutes because we quickly found a tree that a great shape and colour. This tree would have passed my father's inspection of no brown died needles at the bottom and straight trunk. The helpers at the store were very patient as we chose between two trees. As the "expert tree hunter", I made the final decision and the children seemed happy with our choice. We live outside the St Alban's store delivery area so the tree was netted and put in our car. &nbsp;I think my children's favourite part of this new adventure was running between the trees and the apple pie that was offered for the car ride home.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Next year, we will definitely be getting another real tree from Pines and Needles but probably visit during the daytime. I would have loved to spent more time looking at the wreaths and other items in the wooden hut. Please watch our short video of my children's "first tree hunting" experience and we will be sharing our decorated tree over on social media may times the next couple weeks. &nbsp;Remember to check water often in your tree stand especially the first couple weeks.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I would love to hear if you prefer an artificial tree or real tree?<br /><br /><i>I was gifted a tree and this review is honest in my own words. Thank you!</i></div>LadyBug Home &amp; Designhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15952263677178108950noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8631234901941090703.post-47786685305591885212017-11-27T00:00:00.000+00:002017-11-28T17:28:54.896+00:00Joy of Wintery Nights - Share the Joy LinkyThank you everyone that linked up last week in the <a href="/2017/11/joy-of-thankfulness-share-joy-linky.html" target="_blank">Share the Joy</a>&nbsp;post here at Ladybug Home. Loved reading the festive posts and several clever handmade gift items. I was thinking of titling this blog post, "Joy of Mince Pies" because it my children's favourite treat this past week. I really love wintery nights and being cosy at home with warm cup of tea or some hot chocolate. It has been so cold lately in England and definitely winter has come. My daughter has asked for snow for Christmas and that certainly could be a possibility based on how cold it has been the last couple weeks.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-e87wTFiIfkc/Wh2VYBgrkFI/AAAAAAAAWy0/z5NyX5w_Iv0Q_SVpvUxnaTBjA-c8MBAkQCLcBGAs/s1600/Share%2Bthe%2BJoy%2BWinter.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-e87wTFiIfkc/Wh2VYBgrkFI/AAAAAAAAWy0/z5NyX5w_Iv0Q_SVpvUxnaTBjA-c8MBAkQCLcBGAs/s640/Share%2Bthe%2BJoy%2BWinter.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>We have been walking around the toy shops and creating a list in my head or by taking photos on my phone of toys or items that my children seem to show interest in. Santa is still not sure what he is bring my children this year. Since both my children were born within a month of Christmas, there is plenty of gifts to be purchased in the near future. I keep sneaking items into the closest under the stairs and luckily my daughter has not peaked in there yet.<br /><a name='more'></a><br />We have some interesting new adventures plan for the next couple weeks as we prepare for Christmas. We started the Christmas season with the tree lighting in town with fireworks this past weekend. Big Sister watched the fireworks with my husband in the cold while Little Brother and I watched them from the front window of our home. He does not like the loud noise but enjoys the different colours of the fireworks. Our home is a very typical home that is filled with too many toys, clothes and general stuff. I do believe that one of the best ways of creating positive changes in my family and my life is to look at ways to improve our home environment. A more organised home have many benefits including less time searching for items and less clutter to sort constantly.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-f3xQUm21LcM/Wdt3yWiHmlI/AAAAAAAAWtc/EIte-Dfb3awPD2aoQRQ8fKfKcj-ME23_wCLcBGAs/s1600/Organzing%2BFor%2BYour%2BLifestyle%2BReview.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="667" data-original-width="1000" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-f3xQUm21LcM/Wdt3yWiHmlI/AAAAAAAAWtc/EIte-Dfb3awPD2aoQRQ8fKfKcj-ME23_wCLcBGAs/s640/Organzing%2BFor%2BYour%2BLifestyle%2BReview.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">When I received an email offering to receive a copy of Jane Stoller's book titled <a href="http://amzn.to/2wLW4bz" target="_blank">"Organizing For Your Lifestyle: Adaptable Inspirations from Socks to Suitcases"</a>, I was very interested to reading. From a very young age, Jane had a passion from organising her possessions and storage options as an adult.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This books if filled with interesting information about the science behind the stress behind disorganisation and how changing your lifestyle to be more organised can benefit your life. Some of the benefits expressed by Jane include: healthy eating; more likely to exercise; sleep better in clean sheets; improved finances and improve relationships with partner.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Jane has travelled and lived around the world and often with limited closest space. Jane shares some very practical ways to organise your closet including examples of storage options that can be purchased from several major retailers. She provides some helpful advice when it comes to hangers and how important invest in the appropriate hangers for your garments. She suggested black velvet wire hangers because they don't require lots of space and your clothes will not slip off.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><a name='more'></a>Another very interesting statistic that Jane mentions that 40% of people who de-clutter never manage to get stuff out of the house. She recommends that you donate clothes immediately after sorting and before you sneak them back in your closet. &nbsp;I am very guilty of boxing or filling bags of clothes to donate and then sitting in my home for months. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div>The book is arranged into common themes to help you organise your home. From the kitchen to the bathroom,<i>&nbsp;</i>Jane&nbsp;shares<i>&nbsp;</i>ideas, advice and inspiration to help you lead a happier and healthier life. There’s also an interesting chapter about travelling preparations.&nbsp; <br /><br /><blockquote class="tr_bq"><span style="-webkit-font-kerning: none;">"Packing properly for a once-in-a-lifetime trip means you’ll stress less and be able to enjoy that trip even more!"&nbsp;- <i>Jane Stoller</i></span></blockquote><div><span style="font-kerning: none;"><br /></span><span style="font-kerning: none;">I think we all can admit that we have over packed for previous travel adventures. I have regretted hauling around heavy suitcases with no space for souvenirs and fearing about the overweight charges at the airport. Jane has lots of valuable advice to prepare for travelling and suggestions of essential clothes. These days, I only travel domestically or internationally a couple times a year but Jane would suggest have a pre-packed toiletry case that is filled with bottles of items under 100ml size. A clear toiletry bag will get you through security quickly and easily. She suggests asking for samples at your favourite cosmetic counters and purchasing travel sizes in toothpaste and shampoo/conditioners. Just re-fill sample or travel sized bottles when you get home.&nbsp;</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Jane shares her favourite carry-on essentials. She recommends buying an extra cell phone charger and leave it in your suitcase at all times. She shares the best travel adaptor that she has found and reminds you not to forget your portable luggage scale. I definitely will be investing in a pair of Havaianas flip flops on Jane's recommendation of how versatile they are while travelling. She recommends packing a portable negative ion generator and I must research more about this product that helps reduce jet leg as well as breathing difficulties in flight.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This book is filled for practical and useful advice that you can instantly implement in your life. It is extremely easy and quick book to read with photos that illustrate Jane's advice. This book provides guidance that can be adapted to your lifestyle as a parent or as single lady travelling the world. I would highly recommend buying this book in the future.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><i>I was sent a&nbsp;complementary book to read and this review is honest in my own words. I recently started working at a new job and I am really grateful that this job allows me work evenings and weekends so that I can still do the school runs, go on school trips, and have lazy days at home during week with my son. It also makes me appreciate more cuddles with my children. I also think my children appreciate me a little more since I am not around 24/7 now. My son normally meets me at the door when I get home from work and instantly wants to jump in my lap for mommy's special cuddles.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VpjcgJtCM14/WgqIy_3gKxI/AAAAAAAAWxY/h4VmYIrhtIER_lGH8qgrYgGTsIgz_hN6wCLcBGAs/s1600/Joy%2Bof%2BCuddles.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VpjcgJtCM14/WgqIy_3gKxI/AAAAAAAAWxY/h4VmYIrhtIER_lGH8qgrYgGTsIgz_hN6wCLcBGAs/s640/Joy%2Bof%2BCuddles.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>I love trying to soak up my son's body warmth and touching his soft hair. It fills my tired body with love. I also sneak into my daughter's room in the late evening to give her a small cuddle while she is sleeping but my favourite cuddles are in the morning when she has just woken up. My almost 6 year old barely fits in my lap anymore but I am filled with joy and pride of my beautiful daughter when we cuddle. I hope my children always want hugs from their Mommy. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br /><br /><a name='more'></a>TIME TO LINK UP <br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Share the Joy is the happiness-focused linky. &nbsp;Bloggers, writers, artists, poets, if creating something made you laugh out loud, opened your heart, raised your spirits or just made you smile – you’re welcome here.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">1) Link up a creation that has brought you JOY – all genres are welcome, new or old favourites and as many links as you like!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">2) Include the Share the Joy badge (below) or a text link back to this page in your own post.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">3) Please comment on one of our hosts’ posts and a few others. We had a very fun Halloween that included one and half hours of trick-or-treating. My daughter was so joyful as she dashed around the neighbourhood with her friends and filled her pumpkin bucket with sweets. I must admit that I have eaten more of the candy the last week than she has. It definitely feels like November with the cold and dark nights. The weather has been colder and greyer than October.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ItkKgvoR6lc/WgGWVJf9hsI/AAAAAAAAWws/NYo2CxMNfPgLG6zArNvJsaxsYCWdFBiJwCLcBGAs/s1600/Joy%2Bof%2BNovember.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="1500" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ItkKgvoR6lc/WgGWVJf9hsI/AAAAAAAAWws/NYo2CxMNfPgLG6zArNvJsaxsYCWdFBiJwCLcBGAs/s640/Joy%2Bof%2BNovember.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>My daughter is counting down the weeks until Christmas but my thoughts have turned to festive treats. The month of November for me is filled with thoughts about past Thanksgivings with yummy food and spending time with my USA family. Life can be challenging at times these days but I am always very thankful for my family and festive foods this time of year. I must get some canned pumpkin to try to tempt my children again this year with some pumpkin pie. Bring on the whipped cream!<br /><br /><a name='more'></a><br />Thank you for everyone that joined us last week for Share the Joy. Last week was the first time in over 3 years that worked away from home while my children was on a school break. I spent most of the week training at a new job while my husband was able to use holiday time to spend the week with our children during their half-term school back. I think he enjoyed making new special memories but I did miss them all tons.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-olEYBh1oCAE/WfgWvlz1cuI/AAAAAAAAWwM/OZLiDSCjyKos6HXRvJCL7kE2RJiPCme6QCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0202.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-olEYBh1oCAE/WfgWvlz1cuI/AAAAAAAAWwM/OZLiDSCjyKos6HXRvJCL7kE2RJiPCme6QCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0202.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>As I shared in&nbsp;<a href="/2017/10/joy-of-halloween-share-joy-linky.html" target="_blank">last week's Share the Joy</a> post, I grew up with handmade costumes sewn by my mother and I encourage my children to use their imagination to think of new Halloween costume ideas each year. I was surprised on Wednesday when I came home from work to discover that while I was gone that holes were cut in a couple boxes to create the beginnings of robot costumes. Big Sister expressed that she wanted to be a robot for Halloween while Little Brother wanted to be pumpkin robot. &nbsp; The last couple days, we have used my supply of metallic <a href="/search?q=pinty+plus" target="_blank">Pinty Plus spray paint</a> to spray the cardboard boxes. Little Brother's box<span style="font-family: inherit;"> required an orange sponged painting. With some glitter card stock, pipe cleaners, and lots of glue we were able to create this year's Halloween costumes. As we countdown to Halloween Night on October 31st, I have been thinking about all the joyful and fun Halloweens of my childhood in USA. My favourite Halloween memories include cheerful Halloween decorations, carved pumpkins (aka Jack-O-Lanterns) and homemade costumes. Every year my mother would make my siblings and I new costumes on her sewing machine. Over the years, our costumes have included dressing as rabbits, bears, french clowns, jester clowns and Disney characters (Snow White, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse). My mother even made an amazing of Queens of Heart costume for my Senior Year in high school. We were very lucky that we had a mother that encouraged us be creative with our costumes every year. &nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m8NG6zxFu3g/WezYlB-AZSI/AAAAAAAAWvg/4yGmpuw_mpQC4Fuq-hh3QDQDFSljwmN8gCLcBGAs/s1600/Halloween%2BShare%2Bthe%2BJoy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m8NG6zxFu3g/WezYlB-AZSI/AAAAAAAAWvg/4yGmpuw_mpQC4Fuq-hh3QDQDFSljwmN8gCLcBGAs/s640/Halloween%2BShare%2Bthe%2BJoy.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Every year we would head to the local pumpkins patch to pick a pumpkin fresh off the vine. My parent's rule was that you could have any size pumpkin as long as you could carry it. The older we got the bigger the pumpkins were. Also, we would often take school field trips to pumpkin patch with our fellow school mates. We would trick-or-treat around our current and past neighbourhoods which allowed our past neighbours to see how much we had grown over the past year. My mother has a huge collection of cute and cheerful Halloween decorations.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><a name='more'></a>The last couple years in England, I have noticed that Halloween is being celebrated more each year and many more children are started the new tradition of carving pumpkins. My daughter really enjoys the tradition of trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving each year. Unfortunately, the retail stores are filled with scary and often bloody costumes. I would love to see more children in the UK use their imagination to make original, homemade costumes like those created for World Book Day each year. Some of my favourite Halloween costumes that my friends wore when I when I was younger did not cost much and often were from items round around the home.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Have you decided on a Halloween costume for this year?&nbsp;</div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-USwuHQJLZDo/Wcg3-pkUEnI/AAAAAAAAWp0/DC9wJwRb_n80jzOxPVKQZf7f2cSaPl68wCLcBGAs/s1600/Share-the-Joy-header-image-NEW-768x358.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="358" data-original-width="768" height="297" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-USwuHQJLZDo/Wcg3-pkUEnI/AAAAAAAAWp0/DC9wJwRb_n80jzOxPVKQZf7f2cSaPl68wCLcBGAs/s640/Share-the-Joy-header-image-NEW-768x358.png" width="640" /></a></div><br />This week, I am hosting the Share the Joy Linky! We are days away from half-term school break and everyone in my home is tired. The weather keeps fluctuating from warm to cold and we all fighting off the sickness bugs that we are constantly getting exposed too. So must say that we are not the most cheerful household these days. On those tough days when it just seems life is just to hard there is one way that always brings laughter and smiles back into to our lives... dancing. &nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PMQQlpxLqvk/WeUOvf5VyvI/AAAAAAAAWuk/-NtqYOEfgPstbq_wZHo-BFNl5gjlkByjgCLcBGAs/s1600/Share%2Bthe%2BJoy%2BDancing.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="998" data-original-width="1500" height="424" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PMQQlpxLqvk/WeUOvf5VyvI/AAAAAAAAWuk/-NtqYOEfgPstbq_wZHo-BFNl5gjlkByjgCLcBGAs/s640/Share%2Bthe%2BJoy%2BDancing.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><a name='more'></a>It is not unusual for my husband or I to grab our phone and start playing a random song to stop the madness in our home. My children's favourite song is <a href="https://youtu.be/ZbZSe6N_BXs" target="_blank">"Happy"</a> by Pharrell Williams and instantly makes them start dancing. &nbsp; The tears or grumpiness melts away and smiles appear on all our faces. <br /><br />Big Sister has always loved dancing to music. I remember when she was 9 months old and she watched "Strictly Come Dancing" for the first time. She heard the title music and she started bouncing up and down. We love Saturday nights during the Autumn Nights when we attempt to waltz, tango, or jive around the living room. Big Sister always wants to try the dance lifts that she sees on Strictly. My poor back! These days, Little Brother also dances around the room and it is rather good dancing with his Big Sister. Big Sister and I decided this last Saturday that we need glitter dancing shoes for future Saturday night dancing. I hope that we always have music and dancing in our home. &nbsp; <br /><br />Do you enjoy watching Strictly Come Dancing? Do you dance around your home? I love when the leaves start changing colours because it means that the next couple months are going to be filled with hot seasonal drinks and festive decorations. I have many fond childhood memories of heading to the Pumpkin Patch to find that perfect pumpkins for Halloween Night. My mother would make the most magical handmade costumes each year. These days, I love brainstorming with my daughter costume ideas and designs for pumpkin carving. &nbsp;Time for cosy jumpers and the nights to get longer. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zWo6qr2wb34/WdppyqaMq9I/AAAAAAAAWr0/hL1twc5Xp2QtXYPJbN86B0TH-SU0v9CYgCLcBGAs/s1600/October%2Bin%2BLadybug%2BHome.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="530" data-original-width="800" height="424" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zWo6qr2wb34/WdppyqaMq9I/AAAAAAAAWr0/hL1twc5Xp2QtXYPJbN86B0TH-SU0v9CYgCLcBGAs/s640/October%2Bin%2BLadybug%2BHome.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>After Halloween, I start to looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner the end of November and my favourite month of December. On Monday, September 25th, my dear friend Lisa from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/firstmummiesclub/" target="_blank">First Mummies Club</a> and I headed to the <a href="http://www.mumsenterprise.events/" target="_blank">Mums Enterprise Roadshow</a>. This was the 4th Mums Enterprise Roadshow and first time in London. I signed up last May 2017 when I thinking about how in September I needed to focus on looking for ways to make additional income. I was thrilled when my friend Lisa told me that she was also going to this event also. The Mums Enterprise Roadshow is a "child-friendly work and business exhibitions helping mums on a mission whether that be retraining, finding flexible work, starting up or growing a business." I attended this show to learning more about other mother entrepreneurs' business journey and be inspired to take some of my personal projects to the next step.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZfbUpgyxQEM/WdJtQxfY3gI/AAAAAAAAWqc/S33PbjsC5IIEe1BJFV7SrFsbmzRGa9NmACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZfbUpgyxQEM/WdJtQxfY3gI/AAAAAAAAWqc/S33PbjsC5IIEe1BJFV7SrFsbmzRGa9NmACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0029.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>I spent most of the day sitting in informative workshops. We had a good laugh together. <br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_T3PffQJcPg/WdJuCIKyvxI/AAAAAAAAWqo/v_mBbG9Htp0AP4eiJSUt7hkgXPJ4sefrgCLcBGAs/s1600/22179789_1896085320418371_2448216683011346968_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="751" data-original-width="1128" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_T3PffQJcPg/WdJuCIKyvxI/AAAAAAAAWqo/v_mBbG9Htp0AP4eiJSUt7hkgXPJ4sefrgCLcBGAs/s640/22179789_1896085320418371_2448216683011346968_o.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span aria-live="polite" class="fbPhotosPhotoCaption" data-ft="{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}" id="fbPhotoSnowliftCaption" style="color: #1d2129; display: inline; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; outline: none; text-align: left; width: auto;" tabindex="0">Photograph by Lionel Heap 07977 597674</span><span class="fbPhotoTagList" id="fbPhotoSnowliftTagList" style="color: #1d2129; display: inline; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left;"><span class="fcg" style="color: #90949c; font-family: inherit;">&nbsp;<i class="_agk img sp_PNLGEtBGa4D sx_2a7578" style="background-image: url(https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/v3/yQ/r/HhsMU5HYIwI.png); background-position: 0px -320px; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat; background-size: auto; display: inline-block; height: 16px; margin-right: 3px; max-height: 16px; max-width: 16px; vertical-align: -2.9px; width: 12px;"></i><span class="fbPhotoTagListTag withTagItem tagItem" style="font-family: inherit;"><a class="taggee" data-hovercard-prefer-more-content-show="1" data-hovercard="/ajax/hovercard/page.php?id=176633989052314" href="https://www.facebook.com/bdclondon/?ref=stream" style="color: #365899; cursor: pointer; font-family: inherit; text-decoration: none;">Business Design Centre</a></span></span></span></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My 2nd inspired event this week in London was&nbsp;<a href="http://www.britmumslive.com/" target="_blank">BritMums Live 2017</a>. &nbsp;I volunteered to be a Room Monitor in one of the rooms in BritMums Live this year. My mother creates beautiful pieces of embroidery with very complex stitches while cross stitching is my favourite past time. My first cross stitched piece was done as an art project in high school. I must admit that attention to detail was not my greatest strength while in high school so I would stitch the pattern during the day and then my mother would sweetly unstitch and fix the messy sections at night. I rediscovered and properly learned to cross stitch while my son was a baby and was a simple creative project while he napped.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">This week, I was inspired to create a Halloween themed cross stitch piece. I am not brave enough to design my own patterns yet so I often purchase a pattern from Etsy. This week's pattern was from <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/redbeardesign" target="_blank">RedBear Design</a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;I will normally purchase a pattern for the design instructions and then change the thread colours or alter the design a little bit. As I was working on the Halloween design, there was request by my husband and daughter to remove the skulls and replace with cheerful pumpkins.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I enjoy counting the stitches and watching as a design slowing appears with each stitch. My daughter loves coming home from school to see what new elements I completed while she was away. She sweetly asked me if I was going to sell my current cross stitch project but the answer is "no" and that is part of the joy. &nbsp;I enjoy that there is no pressure to make the back of the cross stitch look perfectly neat and I often find that I have missed a stitch or created an accidental knot in the thread. I should finished this week and will update this post with a photo. &nbsp; If you want to try cross stitching, comment below so I can give you some encourage and I would suggest subscribing to <a href="http://redbeardesign.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">RedBear Club</a> where you will get free patterns monthly.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-USwuHQJLZDo/Wcg3-pkUEnI/AAAAAAAAWp0/DC9wJwRb_n80jzOxPVKQZf7f2cSaPl68wCLcBGAs/s1600/Share-the-Joy-header-image-NEW-768x358.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="358" data-original-width="768" height="297" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-USwuHQJLZDo/Wcg3-pkUEnI/AAAAAAAAWp0/DC9wJwRb_n80jzOxPVKQZf7f2cSaPl68wCLcBGAs/s640/Share-the-Joy-header-image-NEW-768x358.png" width="640" /></a></div><br /><a name='more'></a>This week, I am hosting the Share the Joy Linky! We were all very excited when <a href="https://www.parragon.co.uk/" target="_blank">Parragon UK</a> sent us some <a href="https://www.parragon.co.uk/products/childrens/gold-stars/" target="_blank">Gold Stars</a> books to give them a kick-start into the new school year.<br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yX-VtSFeWtQ/WdtGzkWu_KI/AAAAAAAAWsk/jCp2MCNhoUM90UfjoGIve4Qev9hCgqDbwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0113.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yX-VtSFeWtQ/WdtGzkWu_KI/AAAAAAAAWsk/jCp2MCNhoUM90UfjoGIve4Qev9hCgqDbwCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0113.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><em style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, sans-serif; letter-spacing: 0.3199999928474426px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">This post contains affiliate links. Big Sister instantly grabbed a pencil and started doing the exercises in the <a href="http://amzn.to/2kyoBiV" target="_blank">Handwriting book</a>. This book is designed for Early Learning and KS1 level and starts with pencil control and shape exercises for those just starting to form letters.<br /><a name='more'></a><br /><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hSMNJJsTgCg/WdtG1KDW1SI/AAAAAAAAWso/7uTRheN7BCgA4lUulG9BTxTL8KYYpRNjwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0120.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hSMNJJsTgCg/WdtG1KDW1SI/AAAAAAAAWso/7uTRheN7BCgA4lUulG9BTxTL8KYYpRNjwCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0120.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MvxLVGLuT8M/WdtG1WSrpDI/AAAAAAAAWss/k7MYcFFtAuIwPHVMw7k-B61H_h4yhB7ZwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0123.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MvxLVGLuT8M/WdtG1WSrpDI/AAAAAAAAWss/k7MYcFFtAuIwPHVMw7k-B61H_h4yhB7ZwCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0123.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />The book progresses onto each letter and practising the recommended method based on National Curriculum. In begins with lower case letter and then focuses on numbers and Capital letters. Big sister has been practising handwriting for single letters in class and as homework. The book introduces to her how to start joining the letters together in a word. It starts with double letters like “ee” and “oo” but then provide guidance to how to join together like “ae” or “er”. This progress to learn how to connect multiple letters together in the word.<br /><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZOwTRwNae60/WdtG2NFyO1I/AAAAAAAAWs0/fqUWBI0Q8IQB4F6G_ew4xp0UlJcGYygFQCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0124.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZOwTRwNae60/WdtG2NFyO1I/AAAAAAAAWs0/fqUWBI0Q8IQB4F6G_ew4xp0UlJcGYygFQCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0124.jpg" width="640" /></a><br /><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-J_oYBzzTy7Y/WdtG2VV8hTI/AAAAAAAAWs4/1tsHKUGKrBsVx2tXafT7MIX_Z6Ym1YQEgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0128.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-J_oYBzzTy7Y/WdtG2VV8hTI/AAAAAAAAWs4/1tsHKUGKrBsVx2tXafT7MIX_Z6Ym1YQEgCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0128.jpg" width="640" /></a>I also really like that words that are used in the handwriting practise are also works that follow along with phonics learning. Looking through the book, I can see many of the same words that used in Big Sister’s reading book as she processing through phonics learning. Common words like “and”, “the”, “is” “it”, etc. The books ends up with looking at practising writing full sentences, names of colours, months and how to write an address on envelope. One of the final exercises in to writing the following sentence that uses all the letters in the alphabet, “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.” I have fond memory of this sentence from my days of learning to type. This book comes with 100 gold stars to reward Big Sister for her efforts.<br /><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JSDv1lJDHoU/WdtGzZtBvHI/AAAAAAAAWsg/us-0VSlG6UIjLRonI1CZi7UUtrgAKVGOwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0115.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JSDv1lJDHoU/WdtGzZtBvHI/AAAAAAAAWsg/us-0VSlG6UIjLRonI1CZi7UUtrgAKVGOwCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0115.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />Little Brother immediately started looking through the Gold Stars book of <a href="http://amzn.to/2kxRpZ4" target="_blank">Wipe-Clean Numbers</a>. The last couple weeks have been filled with Big Sister heading back to school and Little Brother starting regular Preschool sessions. I always hope that we can extend warm summer days into the first couple weeks of September but unfortunately it is definitely feeling like Autumn. The leaves have been falling since the last couple weeks of August and now the house heating is on during the night (most of the time) to keep everyone warm and cosy. &nbsp;I keep finding myself thinking preparing for Halloween and Christmas.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lRR2diYzdCE/Wb-UWUXvk5I/AAAAAAAAWoE/neVlR6f2asIDvym95Qy0B4QdGeCDtm0tgCLcBGAs/s1600/Share%2Bthe%2BJoy%2B1%2BPhoto.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="667" data-original-width="1000" height="213" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lRR2diYzdCE/Wb-UWUXvk5I/AAAAAAAAWoE/neVlR6f2asIDvym95Qy0B4QdGeCDtm0tgCLcBGAs/s320/Share%2Bthe%2BJoy%2B1%2BPhoto.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />I am trying to cherish the couple years before Little Brother is attending full-time schooling so I felt zero guilt this week when I decided on Wednesday that Little Brother and I were going skip Preschool to spend an extra morning together. That morning, he was very cuddly while waiting for Big Sister's school doors to open and it was a sunny morning that seemed perfect for some exploring in town. Once I confirmed with Preschool that Little Brother would be not be in, we headed to the library. I needed to renew a couple books but also wanted to find some new phonic books to keep Big Sister interested in reading.<br /><br /><a name='more'></a>Recently Little Brother has not made trips to town very stress-free. He does not want to stay in the stroller but also loves running away from me. Most of my trips to town I have set requirements of stores to visit and much needed tasks to complete but not on this Wednesday. I found myself being filled with joy while we sat in the library's cafe sharing a sausage roll and a much needed coffee for me. The sun was shining and we had no where we needed to go.<br /><br />Soon Little Brother was ready to run around outside. We enjoyed running along the canal while discovering new bridges to cross and ducks to be counted. The joy of it being a weekday morning is that most children are in school so the playground near our home was completely empty. I loved trying to absorb the Autumn sunshine and the feeling of holding my son's cold hand. After a good exploration of the canal, we headed home for morning nap (Little Brother) and some work on the computer for me.<br /><br />To be completely honest, I feel that I spend most of my time the last week learning new school routines and dealing with some stressful life challenges but I feel very blessed to be able to spend carefree time with my children from time-to-time.<br /><br /><b>SOME EXCITING NEWS</b><br /><br />I am very excited to share that starting this week that I will be co-hosting the <b>Share the Joy Linky</b>&nbsp;which is the creation of <a href="http://michellereevescoaching.com/" target="_blank">Michelle Reeves</a> formerly of The Joy Chaser and now Michelle Reeves Coaching but has been recently been hosted by Lizzie of <a href="http://Those veteran linkers that have been around for awhile will know that Share the Joy is the creation of Michelle Reeves formerly of The Joy Chaser and now Michelle Reeves Coaching." target="_blank">Lizzie Somerset</a>. I am always looking for cushions that are durable to handle children jumping on them but also look stylish on my sofa.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I was delighted when Space and Shape contacted me to ask to review a couple of their cushions and add to my cushion collection. &nbsp; For a huge selection of cushions, I choose the <a href="https://www.thisisshowroom.com/shopping/2816403527?shrm_collection=4716378222" target="_blank">"Ask Cushion"</a> and <a href="https://www.thisisshowroom.com/shopping/2816403527?shrm_collection=4716378222" target="_blank">"Birdie Dearest Cushion"</a>.&nbsp;</div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ONcXv_FY0yg/WZ9E4MNOfOI/AAAAAAAAWmI/wcmlcrQTpjM_1yO0np0b631VwL0LMa7eACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0009%2B%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ONcXv_FY0yg/WZ9E4MNOfOI/AAAAAAAAWmI/wcmlcrQTpjM_1yO0np0b631VwL0LMa7eACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0009%2B%25281%2529.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><em style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #333333; font-family: verdana, sans-serif; letter-spacing: 0.3199999928474426px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">This post contains shopping links. The removable cushion covers are 45 x 45 cms. The fibre cushion inserts are purchased separating but very reasonably price. Both cushions are made with the same natural fabric and complaints very well with my natural sofa. The appear high-quality and durable.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-two1zHt-rsw/WZ9E5ozXBTI/AAAAAAAAWmU/-1elkyi8P4QHRJAGVtGXR6t_OH1EqnVHACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0023%2B%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-two1zHt-rsw/WZ9E5ozXBTI/AAAAAAAAWmU/-1elkyi8P4QHRJAGVtGXR6t_OH1EqnVHACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0023%2B%25281%2529.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The <a href="https://www.thisisshowroom.com/shopping/2816403527?shrm_collection=4716378222" target="_blank">"Ask Cushion"</a>&nbsp;illustrated with a drawing by&nbsp;Regina Moritz of a colourful bird sitting on a barren autumn tree speech bubble shown coming from bird's beak. The banner says "Ask" with&nbsp;subline "Ask and shall will be given to you - Matthew 7.2". I chose this specific pillow&nbsp;because I love the idea of having a daily reminder to ask the&nbsp;universe or people around you for help or support. This pillow is a good size with a firm cushion insert that is supportive to lean against.&nbsp;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2F_Vtaj-aPM/WZ9E4Q6vuFI/AAAAAAAAWmQ/O2NmAyAtffoGn2KHPC0Qlyrz678TEFURgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0010%2B%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2F_Vtaj-aPM/WZ9E4Q6vuFI/AAAAAAAAWmQ/O2NmAyAtffoGn2KHPC0Qlyrz678TEFURgCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0010%2B%25281%2529.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">If you love this pillow as much as I do, I would suggest also considering purchasing the <a href="https://www.thisisshowroom.com/shopping/2816403527?shrm_collection=4716378222" target="_blank">"Receive Cushion"</a>. Also designed by&nbsp; Regina Moritz but consists of a tree with a family of birds in a tree. The banner with the word "Receive" and tells us to accept the gifts that life hands out to us. I love sentiment of "asking" and "receiving" gifts from the universe. The pillow uses calming colours with shading to create depth in the images. &nbsp;</div><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2o2QGtN9Kj0/WZ9E4eI2jnI/AAAAAAAAWmM/6xgec_S0UiMFZ8GorZD3RkvRnHTYobgqwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0015%2B%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="853" data-original-width="1280" height="426" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2o2QGtN9Kj0/WZ9E4eI2jnI/AAAAAAAAWmM/6xgec_S0UiMFZ8GorZD3RkvRnHTYobgqwCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0015%2B%25281%2529.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />The <a href="https://www.thisisshowroom.com/shopping/2816403527?shrm_collection=4716378222" target="_blank">"Birdie Dearest Cushion"</a> is the other pillow that I received to review. This pillow is from the same artist as the "Ask Cushion" and uses similar colours. The bird is delicately sitting on the letter. The letter looks it has had a grand adventure with the handwritten script lettering and cancelled stamp. In this modern world of electronic communication, it is wonderful to reminded of the artful of letter writing. This blue colours in the bird compliments beautifully with my existing cushion.<br /><br />These cushions are perfect addition to my living room as I transition my home decor from Summer to Autumn.<br /><br /><b>ABOUT: SPACE &amp; SHAPE</b><br /><br /><a href="https://www.spaceandshape.com/" target="_blank">Space &amp; Shape</a> is a company that I was not familiar with before they contact me for this review but I am truly believe that I will purchasing from them in the future. They have a stylish ranges of high-quality handcrafted furniture, mirrors, lighting and huge collection of decorative cushions.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">"The idea of Space &amp; Shape began in the unique feeling of nostalgia that fills someone’s heart when they are seeking a stable, welcoming place they can call home."
